This is very 80s pop and as such I'm surprised I don't know it. It really sounds familiar, especially the guy's voice so I guess I've heard stuff by the artist before. It's not Phil Collins is it? It's got that drum sound. Oh god it could be.
The problem with a lot of these songs is that there's very little to say about them and this is another one.
Sounds like Collins or at least someone else who wants to be Peter Gabriel. It's the kind of song that makes me turn off the radio. Also the kind of CD you find in collections of women my age with a total 20-30 CS. Phil Collins, Tina Turner, Joe Cocker, Rod Stewart ... Oh, and it drains my life power!!!
This is some sort of progressive rock, which has pretty much just been ruined for me by Mike's and Vinnie's comments. I was going to talk about how foresightful it was to be able to make this sort of thing in the seventies, and that the middle section was actually pretty danceable and a potential inspiration for my beloved arpeggiator disco.
But then I realised it can't possibly be that old. Some of the techniques used, especially the way the samples appear, are just not possible with seventies technology. Fuck, I was actually trying to like this.
Vile 80's production- everything recorded in isolation to ensure no trace of a live feel remains. This is horribly like Phil Collins makng music for people who really don't like music, and I'd rather drink bleach than play it again.
This must be Phil Collins, right? I must admit that I like a couple of tracks he did, but this is certainly not one of them. Very, very 80's, in this case in a bad way. It sounds very lifeless.
Well, screw you guys. I'm going to listen to it as bad prog-rock, and I'm going to lik- well, tolerate it. And maybe wish for a Gregorian cover version.

For fuck's sake.
If I has been drinking coffee at the time this track started, I would now be explaining to my boss why I need a new keyboard.
Phil Collins. Gash. (Redundancy.)
