This sounds like a modern interpretation of blues/soul for white people (and possibly by them). Like the Black Crowes or Jules Holland's orchestra or something. It lacks the boogie woogie piano so at least that's good.
I quite like this one. It's hardly a soul classic, but having spent several tracks experiencing the aural equivalent of hopping through chin-deep shit with my mouth jacked open, it's a blessed oasis of taste let me assure you.
This is not that bad, actually. In fact, I rather enjoy it, even after a few listens. It sounds a bit like a modern attempt at Janis Joplin. Not bad at all.
Perfectly inoffensive soulish thing with not displeasing vocals and a decent beat. I probably wouldn't listen to it again, but on the other hand wouldn't race to skip it if it cropped up incidentally.

Sounds like a AKAI sampler demo. "This is a high tech machine but oh boy it add soooouuuul".

This one is indeed quite reasonable. Too long though.
Also not dreadful!
