No... I think it's a Swedish all girl garage rock band. They came to the attention of the British public at the same time as The Hives, The Hellacopters et al around the millenium.

I dunno about drive dead slow, they play dead slow, it totally lacks energy or enthusiasm and just drags.

This song does not speak to me. I don't know what they want from me! Starts like music from a B road movie but when the vocals srop in it gets really annoying. Riot suburb grrls. Yawn. The word "uninspired" was invented for songs like this. And for my posts, of course! yay!!

This is an ok track, but it lacks enthusiasm and energy. As it is, it sounds a bit pedestrian. I'm also not very fond of the vocals, they're occasionally overshouting themselves a bit, like a bad L-7 cover band. Without the energy.

I quite like this as well. The lack of energy is clearly not lacklustre, it's just a slower pacing.

And after all, I'd rather have uninspired female-vocal garage rock than uninspired electrowank, emo, or clownmetal.

also: my favourite track of this set.

I don't have a problem with the pacing or style of this at all. Reminds me a little of Elastica and as such is not unpleasant. That said, it's not an exceptionally exciting or interesting example of the genre either.

Right, I'll bite. This is my track - it's "Drive Dead Slow" by Swedish band Sahara Hotnights, from their debut album C'mon Let's Pretend.

I'm not embarassed by the song so much as the slightly childish crush my younger self had on bass player Johanna Asplund...
