I actually know what this is I think so there's not too much I can say about it. It comes across like a shit 70s Elton John. It would be a wedding track if it wasn't too bad to be a wedding track.

The vocals are terrible. Very theatralic. This isb't even a ballad, just a bad slow song with no melody. Some late plastic postprogband. Urch

I have too much Yes to be rude about this. And it isn't a million miles away from the thinking that leads Dragonforce and Luca Turilli to attempt "epic" "ballads" as well. Having said that, even Dragonforce is better than this. Nice one.

I put this first because it neatly sums up quite a few trends in this round of LWP: Really bad overblown vocals, excessive length, blatant commerciality, badly lacking song structure, silliness. (These, apparently, are what make a really embarassing song.)

That said I quite like it - it's so bad it doesn't fail to put a smile on my face, especially once the guitars kick in.

Heroic soft-rock. Heroic soft-rock is a bad, bad thing. It's so overblown that it's just a huge, puffy meringue of a song. I can see it being of interest to someone who spends their every waking hour in an entirely imaginary fantasy quest, but to anyone with at least one toe in the real world it's like being confronted by an overly-friendly morris dancer insisting that you drink his mead.

i can only hear eric cartman singing this song. the actual song pales in comparison to the cover, which is a sure sign that we've left even CG's sparse reality for bizarro world.

I have to agree with the others that this track is not a good thing. At all. I particularly dislike the whiny vocals, but musically, it's boring soft rock all the way through. I'd say I hope the next tracks will be better, but I am already aware that's not the case.

This is actually kind of impressive, if only in so far as it starts awful and then against all odds succeeds in attaining new, previously unimagined depths of shitness at regular intervals.

The moment the guitars first kick in is a particular master-stroke of "oh for fuck's sake" inspiring anti-genius. Blech.
